Following photos of actor Steve Peacock with several of the current cast members of Home and Away, fans of the soap opera want to see Darryl “Brax” Braxton return.
The 42-year-old actor is still recognised as one of the most beloved characters on the serial opera after winning over fans’ hearts when he first came in Summer Bay in 2011. Before leaving in 2016, Brax, the eldest of the Braxton brothers, held the position for five years.
The character was the main character in several major plots, such as the one in which his lover Charlie Buckton (Esther Anderson) died and the one in which he was given a 15-year prison sentence for a crime he did as a teenager. The Me Before You actor wowed fans last month when he showed up at an event hosted by Channel 7, an Australian broadcaster.
Steve stepped into a picture on the red carpet with a number of stars from Home and Away, including Matt Evans (Theo Poulos), Jessica Redmayne (Harper Matheson), Kirsty Marillier (Rose Delaney), and Adam Rowland (Remi Carter). Channel 7 and the official Home and Away page both shared the photo, which had the caption, “Home and Away? SLAY and more like home.
When walking the red carpet at SxSW for Seven’s big upfront event, the cast is looking hot. Featuring a special appearance by #StephenPeacocke, nicknamed #Brax, who leapt in for a picture.”
Enthusiasts were unable to contain their joy as they flocked to the comments section to beg the celebrity to return. Someone wrote, “Fabulous to see brax wish he would come back to the series.”
Something like, “Please bring Brax back,” another person said. Another replied, “Could Brax please come back to Summer Bay for a surprise visit they would love to see him and so would the H and A viewers.”
Another person begged, “Love the Braxtons.” Return them to you.” The fifth person said, “Ah, hoping Brax was coming back to the Bay.”
Another person concurred, saying, “I’d tune in just for Brax!! Bring me back to the era of the River Boys!” When Brax’s prison van drove off the road and fell into a lake in 2015, he was being moved from jail.
Presumably dead, the character managed to flee and keep an eye on his lover Ricky (Bonnie Sveen). In 2016, Brax made his final appearance, getting back together with Ricky and their son Casey before permanently departing from Summer Bay.
