Home and Away legend Lynne McGranger has teased that a new character is joining the Australian soap — but is cheekily giving very little away.
The actress, who has been playing Irene Roberts since 1993, uploaded a selfie to her Instagram this week alongside Cash Newman actor Nicholas Cartwright and… someone else.
“Saturday vibes with Cash and an exciting new character. Coming soon. @homeandaway #SummerBay @_nicholas_cartwright_,” she wrote in the caption, leaving no clues whatsoever (that we can see anyway).
Cash’s police clothing may give away the identity of the character, whether they are a fellow copper or possibly in trouble with the law.
Despite this, many hoped that after their relationship dramas, Cash and Eden Fowler wouldn’t be separated by the character.
What other newbies from Home and Away should you look out for in upcoming episodes? the mother and aunt of Ada Nicodemou, who plays Leah Patterson. James Stewart, who plays McGranger and Justin Morgan, was there when they stopped by the set, and they wound up filming cameos that the episode will allegedly feature.
Had a few special guests on the Palm Beach set this morning, and they were chosen. My mother and my aunt are now well-known,” Nicodemou posted earlier this month on Instagram.
