In an open conversation with The Morning Show, former Home and Away star Sam Frost explained why she is “putting the brakes” on a wedding to fiancé Jordie Hansen.
Frost, who had her first child, Ted, in March, was asked by host Larry Emdur, “When’s the wedding?”
To be completely honest, Frost remarked, “I’m the one that’s, like, putting the brakes on it.
“We want to buy a house, and now that we have a baby, it’s just so expensive and it’s just hard to justify spending so much money.”
If you like, we can set up a GoFundMe campaign, Larry said in jest.
“Eventually, we will. But I believe that right now, all of our attention is on Teddy,” Frost remarked.
The co-host Kylie Gillies informed the couple that many young families might identify with their struggles.
It seems like everyone has a similar story, she added.
In other parts of the extensive interview, which was Ted’s first appearance on television, Frost discussed how much she was loving being a mother.
She praised Ted, saying, “He’s fantastic.
He is the most content, joyful, and smiling infant.
Frost mentioned “sleep deprivation” and expressed amazement at her level of energy.
You can still accomplish a lot, she remarked.
“He just makes our lives so much happier,” she said.
“A lot of people told me all the difficult things during the pregnancy, which is wonderful to be realistic.
As a result, I believe I had low expectations and thought, “This is fantastic.
“I really don’t know how good he is,”
But the star’s journey has not always been easy.
Frost admitted that she had found breastfeeding to be the most challenging aspect of motherhood in a sincere Instagram post in May.
She stated that the experience had been “really difficult” for her “emotionally, mentally, and physically” in an update on her website.
The actress was “in so much pain” after a few days, according to Frost, who said that her son “latched on perfectly” when he was initially born.
She said, “I tried because I was told to push through it.”
“It appeared to be deteriorating. I was sobbing instead of just making adorable little tears during every feed.
“Little Ted started crying and acting upset and agitated.
Whether it was because he wasn’t getting enough milk or if he was absorbing my energy is unclear to me.
Frost claimed that she ultimately concluded that the bottle would be the best option for the two of them.
The 34-year-old claimed that she nearly decided not to share her journey because she felt “judgement and pressure” from others.
Everybody makes errors. Everybody has days when they wish they had handled a situation differently. However, we are all making an effort. What is effective for one individual might not be effective for you, she concluded.
