Coronation Street’s James Bailey left shocked by Grace’s blackmail

In the next episodes of Coronation Street, James Bailey will be shocked to learn that Grace Vickers is blackmailing Ed and Aggie.

Grace (Kate Spencer) recently issued an ultimatum to Ed (Trevor Michael Georges) and Aggie Bailey (Lorna Laidlaw), promising to stay in Weatherfield provided the pair gives her the property they’re renovating so she and Glory may live there.

Grace had previously expressed an interest in starting a family with Glory and Michael (Ryan Russell), with whom she is co-parenting. However, when she suggested it to him, he was dismissive, leaving her unhappy.

She stated she’d been given a new job in Hull and vowed to accept it despite Michael’s request that she stay with Glory until his babygrow company was more established.

Grace had seen the house Ed and Aggie had purchased at auction and their intentions to restore and rent it out. Grace was furiously collecting her belongings and threatening to go to Hull, but Aggie stopped her, refusing to let Grace flee with her grandson.

So, in response to Grace’s demands, Ed and Aggie handed her their new home. They haven’t told Michael or his brother James (Nathan Graham) about her plans, though.

When James’ lover Danny (Dylan Brady) overhears Ed informing Paul (Peter Ash) that they have a cash flow problem at the builder’s yard, he is interested.

James is perplexed, knowing that his father has been quite busy recently. But the true reason is that Ed has volunteered his time to help Grace with her new home. Then James demands to know what’s really going on.

Grace compelled them to give her the house and make all the repairs and improvements for free in return for seeing Glory, Aggie revealed.

The news has left James speechless, but will he take action? Will Michael discover the truth?
