On Monday’s edition of SAS Australia, Dan Ewing shared the oddest request he’s ever gotten from a fan.
John Steffensen, a fellow recruit and former track and field athlete, was comparing fan interactions with the 36-year-old former Home and Away player.
While John, 39, revealed that he’d been approached by females who wanted him to autograph their breasts, Dan conceded that he could outdo that.
‘The finest one I ever received was a guy who had a foot fetish.’ ‘It was this odd foot page,’ he told. ‘Gay man, no issues, lovely, everything, but it was this weird foot page,’ he claimed.
And he’d tagged, like, a magazine photo of my feet. I was sitting on a beach shooting a picture shoot in ripped pants.
‘He inboxed me and said, ‘I’ll pay you to photograph and videotape your feet.’ ‘All right, dude,’ I said. Okay. You do you, and it’s OK. “There is a lot of affection, but no.”
Dan asked if it was something individuals are born with, clearly still attempting to make sense of the strange experience.
‘How do you know you have a foot fetish?’ he inquired of John.
‘I’m not sure.’ Man, I believe it simply sneaks up on you. You’ll be horny over some foot before you know it,’ John warned him.
Dan revealed he’struggled’ with celebrity after joining the cast of Home and Away in 2007. In an interview with the ImperfectlyPerfect Podcast last month, Dan admitted he’struggled’ with fame after joining the cast of Home and Away in 2007.
‘I had a lot of trouble. I was just a kid from the northern beaches, so shooting to stardom on Australia’s largest show, Home and Away… I wasn’t ready,’ he admitted.
‘I’d just sort of tip all this grog down my neck and get totally written off on the weekend,’ he said of turning to booze as a coping technique.
SAS Australia returns to Channel Seven on Tuesday at 7.30 p.m.
