Ada Nicodemou, a Logie candidate and star of Home and Away, recently shocked everyone with an unexpected statement.
Despite being nominated for a Silver Logie award, the actress has informed fans that she will not be attending this year’s Logies on Sunday.
Hello, how are you all? I’m excellent… Well, not really because I have some bad news, she said in the opening of the Instagram video.
I’m going to miss the Logies this year, which is unfortunate for me because I adore the Logies.
Especially this year, as I’ve been nominated as well.
For the Silver Logie Award for Best Actress, Nicodemou is up against co-stars Lynne McGranger and Emily Symons.
Ray Meagher and James Stewart are nominated for the Silver Logie Award for Best Actor, while Home and Away is up for the award for Best Drama, which it won the previous year.
She continued, “Unfortunately, I won’t be there because I’m on a family vacation, but thank you very much for voting for me and everyone else.
So, I implore you to support Ray, Jimmy, Emily, Lynne, and the programme.
“Be sure to keep voting, the polls are open.”
“Make sure you also watch it. I can’t wait until next year to attend and, hopefully, to wear a fantastic outfit. It’s on Channel 7, and I can’t wait.
“Have fun,”
Nicodemou explained the news in a caption that accompanied the Instagram video.
“Good day, everyone. I’m sorry I won’t be at the Logies this year. I’m taking a break from social media because I’m on a lovely family vacation. Please join us in supporting everyone tuning into @homeandaway and have a fantastic evening. She wrote, “#Logies.
The comments section was used by Nicodemou’s supporters and friends to leave supportive remarks.
Hello, honey. I miss you! Wish you were here, but I sincerely hope you’re having a blast. Co-star Lynne McGranger said, “See you in a few weeks.
Emily Symons, a different nominee from the cast, also offered her opinion.
We will miss you, sweetheart, have a good trip with your lovely family.
“Hello Ada,” a supporter said. Seeing you on the red carpet will be missed. I always look forwards to seeing what you’ll be wearing because you are so breathtakingly lovely. However, I do hope you have a wonderful holiday and that next year will bring more Logies events.
“Have a really nice holiday, Ada,” said one.
Night of nights on TV
Fashion and event enthusiast Nicodemou recently said that she gives her Logies’ outfit a lot of care.
Before making her announcement, she told 7Life, “I think about my dress, my makeup, and what my hair is going to look like months in advance.”
I adore that aspect of things.
She remarked, “I’ve been working with a great stylist named Donny Galella for the past few years.
I believe the Logies are the perfect opportunity to go all out because “I always want something corseted and I want to be incredibly uncomfortable (laughs).
“I want the highest heels, the most stunning dress with a corset, the best hair and cosmetics, the whole nine yards.
“I really do love it all, I just do.”
