Next week, the new-look Max Turner will make his debut on the cobbles of Coronation Street.
Max, David Platt’s adoptive son, will have a new face when Paddy Bever takes over for Harry McDermott.
In the 2010 soap, Harry, from Bury, portrayed Max.
After a period spent living at the Rovers Return with his aunt, Becky McDonald, the character was restored to his mother Kylie in 2011 after Kylie sold him to her and her husband Steve for £20,000.

Kylie and her husband David were able to turn their lives around and become responsible parents.
Clayton Hibbs stabbed Kylie to death in 2016 in gruesome circumstances.
Max has stayed in David’s custody with his half-sister Lily, after his father Callum Logan was killed by ex Kylie while attacking Sarah Platt.

Paddy’s character Max gets interested in drama with teacher Daniel Osbourne in his first moments as Max.
When David questions his son about his lack of schoolwork, Max claims that it is because of his ADHD that he is given less.
David gets angry when Daniel says it’s a shame Max doesn’t utilise his intellect for studying instead of constructing a mug of his father when David chooses to check out Max’s tale with Daniel.
When David notices Daniel let Summer Spellman in for a lesson, he rushes over with Max and tears a strip from Daniel for showing favouritism.
Max listens intently as David says that, given Daniel’s romantic past with his niece Bethany, he definitely likes Summer, and he uses it to make a jab at him.
When Daniel’s wallet disappears from his jacket pocket, he immediately suspects Max.
Daniel tells Max to empty his pockets on the street, and as he reaches for his jacket, David runs over, demanding to know what’s going on.
“We have all seen Harry grow up alongside Max Turner over the last 11 years and we want to thank him for everything he has given to the role,” Coronation Street stated in a statement regarding Harry’s departure.
“Recasting a part is always a tough choice, and we’re excited to follow Harry’s career as he continues his acting education and pursues other possibilities.” We wish him the best of luck in the future.”
Max, who has ADHD, is set to play a major role in an upcoming storyline.
