Tim Robards will return to Neighbours as rich businessman Pierce Greyson for a fresh plot next month, two years after leaving Ramsey Street.
Between his arrival in 2018 and his departure in 2020, Robards starred in over 300 episodes of the soap, and his role was later succeeded by another actor, Don Hany.
But now, before the series shuts for forever in June, he’ll be back for one last time, and he’s hailed it as “an enormous honour” to return to the character.
He added, “COVID state border constraints resulted in my abrupt departure and replacement back in 2020 for what should have been my final month of filming.”
“I’m ecstatic and grateful to be reunited with my entire crew, whom I never had the opportunity to say goodbye to. It’s really a joy to be a part of the programme one final time now that it’s coming to an end.”
At this time, no specifics about the character’s comeback have been announced, except that he’ll be reunited with Chloe Brennan (April Rose Pengilly), with whom he was married during his last run on the show.
