Brad Miller, a former AFL player, was married to Pia Whitesell, one of Australia’s most renowned ladies, for over a decade.
When he became her first husband, they had an almost storybook relationship, and they have a 15-year-old son, Lennox.
Brad, who is largely regarded as one of football’s most attractive players, however, now chooses a quieter existence away from the spotlight.
The reclusive hunk has recently been hired as an assistant coach by the Gold Coast Suns for the 2022 Premiership season.
Brad seldom grants media interviews regarding his personal life and prefers to keep his relationships private.
He formerly worked at Sydney University as the Director of Coaching. He also spent six years as an assistant coach with the GWS Giants.
In 2005, the year before Lennox was born, the former couple began dating. He was an AFL pin-up guy at the time, and she was a successful model.
During their eight years of marriage, the couple was frequently seen on the red carpet at events in Melbourne.
When Pia got the part of Kat Chapman on Home and Away in 2014, her career took off. Soon after, the couple had to fight rumours that their relationship was on the rocks.
The former couple announced their divorce in October 2015, which was a tragic turn of events.
‘We have chosen to split after several months of thought,’ their joint statement said.
‘Even though we’ve been apart for almost a year, we’ve spent 10 beautiful years together.’
‘We shall always be there for each other.’ We are and will always be a family.’
Pia subsequently admitted to Marie Claire that she struggled to strike a balance between her family and the soap’s production responsibilities.
Pia told Marie Claire, ‘I’d shoot all day, get on a plane, dash home, and prepare dinner – it felt like I was working full-time in both places.’
‘I was attempting to accomplish everything, and it took a physical toll on me, and I believe it had a toll on everything.’
Following her breakup with Brad, she began dating producer Tyson Mullane. From November 2017 till April 2019, they were married.
In December of 2019, Pia announced that she was dating Patrick. The couple married in secret earlier this year, and she now lives in Los Angeles.
