Tane appears to be dying on this week’s episode of Home and Away, lying in a hospital bed with no heartbeat and no hope.
Doctor Logan, of course, refuses to give up, but will his attempts to save him be in vain?
Last week, many Summer Bay characters, including Tane (Ethan Browne) and Martha (Belinda Giblin), were left fighting for their lives after a mystery chemical assault at the surf club.
CPR should be continued. Logan (Harley Bonner) is eventually rewarded with a weak but discernible pulse after Jasmine (Sam Frost) is forced to concede Tane has a tiny chance of making it.
Logan’s next step is to conduct a comprehensive toxicology report, which reveals the presence of sedatives.
It explains why Tane is so difficult to revive, but it raises a new question: who so despised him that they would attempt a double attack?
It’s a question that policeman Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) is looking for an answer to. Despite the fact that he and Tane were not friends, the strong officer is eager to find out who is to blame.
Nicholas tells TV WEEK that Cash is concerned about Tane. “No one deserves this, no matter what occurred between Tane and Felicity [his younger sister, played by Jacqui Purvis].”
Thankfully, Leah (Ada Nicodemou) is given the green light to leave the hospital, with Justin (James Stewart) clearly concerned about how close he came to losing her again.
Faced with the very real prospect that Martha would not recover from her injuries, Alf (Ray Meagher) keeps vigil at her bedside.
Meanwhile, Marilyn’s (Emily Symons) life takes a fatal turn when she falls on her way home from the Diner and is rushed to the hospital.
Doctors put her in an induced coma when her organs begin to fail. Marilyn’s situation appears to be bleak…
