Next week, as Mercedes Da Silva pursues Remi Carter, she will display her real colours on UK television.
There has been friction among the musicians ever since Remi hired gifted violinist Mercedes to play with his band Lyrik. Since Mercedes’ arrival, Remi’s best friend Eden Fowler has fought with Mercedes multiple times.
The presence of Mercedes, whom Eden has characterised as having “zero moral compass,” has also made Remi’s girlfriend Bree Cameron uneasy. In forthcoming moments, Bree will see that her concerns were justified.
Bree makes a substantial breakfast with Remi in scenes that would run on Channel 5 in the UK the following week after feeling excluded from her boyfriend’s filming preparations with Mercedes.
Unfortunately for Bree, Mercedes arrives to poach Remi so they can work on their musical strategy, interrupting their love breakfast.
Bree finds it more and more impossible to believe Remi doesn’t have romantic feelings for Mercedes, especially after being turned down for lunch and unexpected visits for a snack at the studio.
Eventually, Xander Delaney assists Bree in coming to the decision that she wants to demonstrate how much faith she has in Remi, and Bree makes the commitment to refrain from dropping by the studio during Lyrik’s recording sessions. Mercedes learns about this and is thrilled.
A killer version of the Lyrik band’s song “Hold Onto This Moment,” featuring a string section provided by Mercedes, is recorded in the studio later in the week. Following the session, the musicians are in their element, happy with the significant advancements they’ve achieved on their new record.
With the exception of Remi and Mercedes, who stick behind to finish additional mixing, they all get into Theo Poulos’s car and drive off to their respective homes for the evening. Finally having some time to themselves, Mercedes decides to approach Remi romantically.
Shocked Remi is going through a mental breakdown as he tells Eden that Mercedes kissed him. He wonders what he will tell Bree and feels guilty for not foreseeing the transfer. They do not have time to devise a plan, though, when Bree unexpectedly arrives.
Remi is perspiring as he frets over the issue as he and Bree have breakfast. It gets worse since he can’t bring himself to acknowledge what occurred with Mercedes.
Is Remi and Bree’s marriage in peril as a result of Mercedes’s plotting?
