After having to postpone their wedding twice, Home and Away actor Luke Jacobz and American fiancée Raychel Stuart finally got married.
The couple exchanged vows in a small ceremony in Centennial Park in Sydney, in front of just 32 of their closest friends and family members.
After Raychel’s brothers couldn’t make the journey from LA for the wedding, and regrettably both of the couple’s fathers having died away, Luke’s mother’s partner escorted Raychel down the aisle, according to New Idea.
Raychel clutched a bouquet of indigenous flowers that she had personally put together and looked lovely in a long-sleeved sophisticated gown.
Their favourite Indian restaurant in Sydney, Lavendra in North Sydney, hosted the couple and their guests for supper.
“I was a hot mess. We’d been waiting so long for it to happen that when I saw Raychel, I simply broke down. In contrast to what was intended, I ended up employing every tissue instead of Raychel,” Luke remarked in an interview with the magazine.
Luke and Raychel got engaged in 2018, but because to Covid-19 restrictions, their wedding preparations had to be postponed twice.
During the epidemic, the pair was compelled to live apart for 16 months, with LA-based Raychel being quarantined in a Sydney hotel for 14 days before they could be reunited.
A happy Luke proudly shared a picture of Raychel and him at Bondi Beach on his Instagram page in 2021.
“She’s here at last! 499 days after separating! I am reunited with the love of my life!!”
