Tane hasn’t left her side since discovering a newborn in a bag on the beach. However, he goes above and beyond this week by submitting an application to be an emergency foster carer. Is he really ready, or is he just covering ground?
Tane (Ethan Browne) looks after the infant girl in Home and Away; he never goes to sleep or eats unless a doctor is around.
Mali (Kyle Shilling) and Mackenzie (Emily Weir), who are worried about his actions, politely enquire about his intentions. To their astonishment, Tane reveals that, should her parents fail to come forward, he wants to take care of her. In addition, he gives her the Maori name meaning bravery, Maia.
Mac worries that by taking care of someone else, he will be replacing his failed marriage to Felicity (Jacqui Purvis). However, Tane is unmoving.
Ethan tells TV WEEK that Tane is trying his hardest to move on and concentrate on his life following the breakup. “He’s having a hard time deciding what he wants to do with his life, but he’s doing great and the future seems bright.”
Tane pursues the scheme in spite of opposition from his housemates and a severe reprimand from Dr. Bree (Juliet Godwin). He’ll stop at nothing to keep Maia safe. The only issue is that he must be an Australian citizen or lawful permanent resident in order to foster a child.
Ethan says, “He wants to make sure this baby gets the best care and is placed in a proper home.” “Because he found her, he can’t help but feel responsible for her.”
Felicity feels driven to assist after hearing Roo (Georgie Parker) and Alf (Ray Meagher) talking about the circumstances at Salt. She investigates how to apply to become a carer later that afternoon. But is Flick acting morally, or is she just hoping to get Tane back home?
