Tane Parata’s relationship woes are about to become a lot worse, according to Home and Away actor Ethan Browne.
Tane made it plain that he didn’t want to be in a relationship after his brief hookup with officer Cash Newman’s (Nicholas Cartwright) sister Felicity Newman (Jacqui Purvis), as he was still recovering from his breakup with Ziggy Astoni (Sophie Dillman).
Felicity, on the other hand, has made a practise of ‘accidentally’ showing up wherever he is. So he assumed she was playing games when she left him a solitary crimson rose on his porch. Felicity was enraged and vehemently denied any knowledge.
Tane has left a letter that makes it apparent he’s being watched, and Ethan told whattowatch.com that things are going to get MUCH creepier…
“Someone is following him everywhere!” “When he gets the rose at the front door, he thinks to himself, ‘This is odd, but whatever,’ but then he begins finding flowers all around,” Ethan explained.
“In Salt, Tane was chatting to Mackenzie, who was sad, and he consoled her.
“Felicity saw them, and Tane discovers a letter on the door the next day that reads, ‘I saw you last night and you’re killing my heart!’
“He adds two and two and concludes that it must be Felicity.”
He finds a box of flowers in the gym after a run-in with Felicity regarding the message, which she again denies. A fight at the trailer park escalates into a massive brawl in front of Felicity’s brother Cash.
Despite the fact that he is aware of his sister’s tendency to be out of control, he believes her when she claims innocence. Tane becomes enraged when he discovers additional flowers on his vehicle windshield and in his gym bag, and he searches Felicity’s dumpsters for proof.
Is it Felicity’s fault? That appears to be the case… Apart from a few indications about her background from her brother Cash, we don’t know much about her.
Ethan has been tight-lipped about whether Felicity is his stalker or if something more nefarious is at work. However, he did hint that things are about to become frightening!
“A dramatic climax occurs, and people end up in the hospital.” He teased, “It’ll turn into this enormous monster!”
It’s been just over two years since Ethan joined the show as a member of the Parata family, and he says he’s finally settled in.
“I don’t feel like the new guy anymore!” “I felt like the new guy for most of last year, but now I’m part of the furniture,” he said.
“It takes time for fans to warm up to new characters, even if they are fans. Unless you come in as a hero like Cash or Logan [Harley Bonner’s Dr. Bennett]!”
Tane was a bit of a bad boy player when he first arrived to the Bay, but his romances with Mackenzie Booth (Emily Weir) and Ziggy have revealed a gentler side to him. He appears to be ready to make a commitment.
“Ziggy brought out that part of him,” Ethan agreed, “that gentleness and sensitivity that he always possessed but never found the proper person to do it with.”
“Now that he’s approaching thirty, he’s eager to settle down.” He’s had his fill of fun and is ready to grow and step up.
“He tried it with Ziggy, but it didn’t work out. He’s ready to relax and be a good guy, but he’d want to maintain a bit of his bad boy side!”
