Next week on Home and Away, Mia makes a momentous decision concerning her and Chloe’s future, while Roo anticipates Martha’s return to Summer Bay…
Summer Bay is growing unsettling for Mia Anderson (Anna Samson), who has been grieving the loss of her husband Ari (Rob Kipa-Williams) for a month.
Mia is still adjusting to life without Ari, despite the support of her brother-in-law Tane (Ethan Browne) and nephew Nikau (Kawakawa Fox-Reo).
Mia’s suffering isn’t lost on her family, despite her brave front.
Tane has been sleeping with one eye open, keeping an eye out for Mia’s sleepwalking episodes, in which Mia nearly ran into an oncoming car in the dark of night before Tane stopped her.
Progress is expected next week. The recent altercation between Chloe and Bella (Courtney Miller) prompts her to contact her mother, but seeing how distressed Chloe has become just adds to Mia’s distress.
She tells Tane she can’t help Chloe, and that night she sleepwalks again, waking them up.
Mia is humiliated to discover about the encounter the next day; she believed she’d moved on. Tane assures her it’s nothing to worry about, but Flick worries Mia is on the point of a collapse. Flick is anxious for Tane since Mia needs more help than he can give.
Tane learns via Ziggy that Mia has locked herself in her office, proving Flick’s point.
Despite Mia’s apparent recovery, Tane concedes to Nik that it’s time Mia seek professional help.
Mia doesn’t appreciate the intervention and says she’ll figure things out on her own.
Jasmine runs into Mia the next day on Flat Beach and asks how she is. Mia expects to see Ari everywhere she goes, and Jasmine can relate after losing Robbo (Jake Ryan).
Jasmine reveals she had to leave the bay for a bit when the memories were too overwhelming, which causes Mia pause…
Later that day, Mia calls Tane back to the gym and acknowledges he was right. Rather than attend a therapist, she knows what she must do.
Mia wants to leave Summer Bay with Chloe.
