Next week on Home and Away in the UK, the cherished Beach House comes under threat, intensifying Marilyn’s conflict with Stunning Organics.
In Irene’s (Lynne McGranger’s) absence, Marilyn (Emily Symons) has been residing at the Beach House ever since she received a threatening voicemail from someone associated with the skincare business.
Marilyn previously told a reporter at the local newspaper The Coastal News about the different strategies the business has employed to intimidate their brand advocates and conceal their questionable items.
She had the backing of Alf (Ray Meagher) and Roo (Georgie Parker), both of whom were mentioned in the piece.
But when Marilyn later got an anonymous voicemail, the story flopped.
The mangled voice said, “You were advised to keep your mouth shut. You and your friends had better watch your backs because you’re about to experience the repercussions now.
The message was reported right away to Rose (Kirsty Marillier) at the police station by Marilyn and Roo, but they discovered that the number had been faked and there was no way to track it.
Marilyn decided to stay at Irene’s instead of visiting Roo and Alf, informing Roo that she was visiting a friend in Yabbie Creek because she had been told to watch her back.
The following week, Marilyn is preoccupied at the coffee cart in the cafe since it seems like every table has a copy of The Coastal News, which features her face on the front page and serves as a daily reminder of her situation. When John (Shane Withington) shows up for his free coffee and senses Marilyn’s confusion, she immediately provides an explanation. Marilyn is perplexed by the phenomenon.
When Marilyn brings over his coffee, John can’t help but draw attention to the well-dressed man, Dylan (Simon Emmanuel), who is sitting at a nearby table and closely observing Marilyn.
John remarks that she certainly has an admirer since Dylan keeps staring at her with a wry smirk. This immediately puts Marilyn on edge.
Dylan quickly leaves the room, but not before he places his copy of The Coastal News face up and heavily weighted to prevent it from moving. It’s obvious that Marilyn is being observed, and additional quiet warnings are being delivered…
John can see that Marilyn is lying when Alf arrives and inquires about the friend she spent last night with.
After noting that she has been on edge all morning, John confronts her and threatens to interrogate Alf about the situation. Marilyn responds that she doesn’t want him involved because that would mean he would have to postpone his visit to Martha (Belinda Giblin). John doesn’t see why Marilyn would need to lie to Alf when she says she just stayed the night at Irene’s considering that she was requested to watch over the Beach House while she was away.
When Marilyn receives a message from a city newspaper asking to publish her tale, the moment is cut short. John congratulates her right away, but Marilyn becomes agitated and doesn’t want to make a fuss.
Later, when John makes a visit to the Beach House, he tells Marilyn that he is concerned about her. He needs her to know that she has a friend if she needs one, even if she just wants him to back off.
Marilyn makes the decision to finally tell John all that has been happening with Stunning Organics, including how she believes that staying at the Beach House will keep Alf and Roo safer.
When John mentions the latest interview invitation, Marilyn says she’s not going to accept it because she already created enough difficulty.
John reassures Marilyn that she has played her part and that it is now time for someone else to pick up the slack. Marilyn acknowledges that she feels awful for letting the company’s other victims down by not moving forwards.
A brick flies through the Beach House’s glass as a surprise arrival interrupts the moment!
John leaps to his feet as Marilyn cries out, but he is unable to see the attacker because they hear a motorcycle speed off.
They both realise that Stunning Organics are keeping an eye on Marilyn’s every step as John unfolds the message that is wrapped around the brick: “No more interviews. In any case.
Marilyn declines John’s offer to stay with her while he boards up the window and waits for things to get resolved.
Marilyn insists that he doesn’t need to watch over her and that there shouldn’t be any additional concerns since she won’t be participating in the interview.
Marilyn is reluctantly left alone by John, but as night comes, it appears she could start to second-guess her choice.
Marilyn hears a disturbance coming from the front entrance as she locks the windows.
Marilyn, who is afraid, crept back towards the living room while grabbing a nearby frying pan that conveniently was resting on the side in the downstairs bedroom.
Marilyn yells as she runs around the corner and prepares to fight as she hears the front door open and someone enter.
