Marilyn Chambers from Home and Away will appear terrified on UK television next week after receiving a threat from the cosmetics business Stunning Organics.
Marilyn has to deal with the repercussions of her valiant efforts to reveal the brand’s dishonest business practises.
The Summer Bay favourite recently learned that she was bound by a demanding long-term contract with Stunning Organics that requires her to sell boxes of cosmetics that are sent to her every week.
Future scenes will have Marilyn working with her buddy Kirby Aramoana to publish a social media post that calls attention to the company’s abuse of power.
Kirby soon gets a legal warning from Stunning Organics that mentions the repercussions of making defamatory statements.
No-nonsense This intense response, according to Kirby, is evidence that they have Stunning Organics rattled. When Marilyn receives a threat of her own, she feels less assured.
When Marilyn reaches her breaking point, she reveals to Kirby that she has a sizable inventory of Stunning Organics goods that she is unable to sell and has been storing them at Irene Roberts’ house while her friend is away.
Kirby and Marilyn are both concerned as they get legal documents after refusing to comply with Stunning Organics’ requests.
Still refusing to give in, Kirby advises that they enlist more people in the struggle.
In order to connect with other possible customers of Stunning Organics, the team establishes an online forum. As more people start to come forward with comparable experiences, it turns out to be a sensible decision.
Alf Stewart develops misgivings about Marilyn’s reserved conduct later in the week. Although he was aware of Marilyn’s issues with the business, he assumed they were fixed because she had earlier stated that everything was in order.
Marilyn keeps hiding, but when Stunning Organics delivers yet another unwanted parcel, her identity is revealed.
When Alf finds the unsold cosmetics, he convinces Marilyn to admit that things have gotten so bad that she is now being sued.
Marilyn prepares herself for harsh criticism from grouchy Alf, but when he instead gives his support, she is moved. Will Marilyn and her companions be able to defeat Stunning Organics?
