They managed to escape a terrifying abduction, but this week will bring worse, as Justin’s last hours draw near.
In the movie Home and Away, Ada Nicodemou plays Leah, who receives terrible news: her fiancé Justin, played by James Stewart, is not expected to live due to injuries he sustained while attempting to flee the abandoned warehouse they were stuck in.
Juliet Godwin’s character Dr. Bree informs her that Justin’s heart damage isn’t getting better and that it might be time to say goodbye. Leah finds it difficult to take the news.
She sobs, “I’m not letting you go”.
According to Ada, 46, “it [the trauma] hits her really hard; she’s devastated,” TV WEEK reports. “She can’t live without him… she’s a complete mess.”
Bree calls Justin’s family and suggests that they pay one last visit. Upon witnessing his aunt Leah’s state of devastation, Theo (played by Matt Evans) tries to divert her attention by inquiring about the wedding.
Leah had proposed to Justin while they were stuck in the warehouse, but she was able to escape and sprinted for assistance.
“It was really hard to get out, and she was weak, but she did,” Ada says. “She was in a bad state and began to hallucinate, but knew she had to try.”
When asked to share what transpired with the police, Leah gets defensive. The group responsible for their kidnapping, Vita Nova, still has members on the loose that pose a threat.
Leah goes to the police interview with reluctance, but when she gets back to the hospital, she is horrified to see Justin isn’t there. Even though he’s just had scans, it’s obvious from Leah’s outburst that Justin isn’t the only one who’s not feeling well.
Leah breaks down in her friend’s arms and sobs for the love she might lose forever when Alf (Ray Meagher) shows up. Is this the time to say our goodbyes?
