On this week’s episode of Home and Away in Australia, Cash’s pledge to Harper raises Eden’s concerns, while Dana’s irresponsible actions raise the possibility that everything may come to light.
Harper (Jessica Redmayne), who has only been in town for a few days, is going to come under more scrutiny from a bay resident while simultaneously attempting to control her rambunctious sister Dana (Ally Harris).
The Beach House’s newest tenant has already drawn the attention of John Palmer (Shane Withington), who is anxious about the total stranger who responded to Irene’s (Lynne McGranger) ad in the cafe and was wanting to move in.
From the beginning, John had a bad feeling about Harper. When she offered Irene a list of references before allowing her to stay with them, John snuck a photo of the list to use as evidence for his own enquiries.
John was startled to learn that Harper had received only positive feedback. He had vowed to keep out of it when Irene learned what he had done, but after saw Harper deliberately avoiding two police officers in Salt, he began to have second thoughts about that.
Given that Harper is a social worker for the police, Irene thought the concept was absurd, and John was compelled to swallow his pride after witnessing Harper reuniting with her old acquaintance, the local copper Cash (Nicholas Cartwright).
The spectators soon realised that John’s instincts from the neighbourhood watch were accurate in this case, though! Cash had issued a warrant for Dana’s arrest after drugs were discovered in her apartment, so Harper had come to the harbour to ask for his assistance in clearing her record. Dana has lost everything as a result of Olly, her boyfriend, blaming her for everything.
In addition, Harper opened her bedroom window to indicate that Dana had travelled to town with her and was preparing to hide out in her room after volunteering to do the dishes so that Irene could have a good night’s rest.
Cash learns this week that there are certain inconsistencies that call for more investigation after pledging to check into Dana’s case. One of these is that it appears that the police have only looked into Dana as a suspect.
TV Week claims that Dana overhears Cash giving Harper an update at the Beach House and immediately begins texting Olly. Dana almost reveals her existence, but Harper diverts Cash’s attention just in time.
Harper scolds her sister for almost blowing their cover after Cash has been removed from the situation.
“Dana can be impulsive, and some past decisions reflect that,” Ally Harris told TV Week.
Harper begs Dana to avoid spotting her because she is worried that if she is, she might be arrested. However, Dana is adamant to learn the truth and leaves the house, leaving Harper in a panic.
She stated, “Dana has always been in the background, with Harper making the decisions and serving as the guardian, which can be challenging when their morals diverge. Dana is attempting to establish some personal agency.
Dana is seen in a recent advertisement strolling around the parks as Harper follows and tries to reason with her sister.
“I’m doing this for you,” he said. Harper shouts.
Why, since you’re always right? Dana answers.
Will Dana’s carelessness cause the pair to be caught off guard? With Thursday’s description claiming that Harper and Dana’s secret has been revealed, it sure seems that way!
Meanwhile, Cash’s girlfriend Eden (Stephanie Panozzo) is also concerned about the enigmatic apparition of this person from his past.
Eden is perplexed as to why Cash hasn’t informed her about Harper’s arrival after first learning about Harper from John, who queries Cash about how he’s loving having his partner around. Cash explains that he is helping Harper with something, but he won’t go into further detail.
Eden is displeased when John hurries off to meet Harper after receiving a text from her and decides to find out what John knows as he has never discussed this wonderful match through their months of relationship.
John is eager to note out that Harper seems quite nervous among police officers, but on the other side, Eden is alarmed since she looks “very comfortable with Cash.”
When did we start keeping things from one another? Eden challenges Cash in Salt and inquires. “I don’t understand,”
Cash tells Eden he can’t talk about it because he is annoyed by the interrogation and doesn’t want to break Eden’s trust.
He says, “It would be great if you could support me, and let this go,” and then gets up and walks away.
Will Cash and Eden experience trust challenges as a result of Harper’s presence?
