In the aftermath of Ari’s (Rob Kipa-Williams) death and her mother’s grief, Chloe (Sam Barrett) has been clinging to Bella (Courtney Miller), but when Nikau (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) arrives from New Zealand, he quickly realises he’ll struggle to get any time alone with his lover.
Bella buys Chloe a new diary, but she has conflicting feelings about it because the last time she wrote in one, her entire family was put in jeopardy. Meanwhile, Nikau rants to Tane (Ethan Browne) about Chloe’s refusal to leave their faces!
When Tane tries to reach out to Chloe to find out what’s going on, she throws him a curveball: Nikau is the one who should be concerned. He’s definitely trying to divert attention away from his own pain by showing concern for Chloe.
Tane begins to worry that he has failed his family by failing to assist them when they are in need. When he approaches Nikau, his nephew assures him that he is alright. Tane is perplexed – how did Chloe get the impression that Nikau is having trouble?
Nikau and Bella are looking forward to having the Farm House to themselves later that evening and planning a romantic dinner date – but just as they sit down to dine, Chloe appears on their doorstep. What is she up to now?
