Johnny Ruffo, the former star of Home and Away, has released a new update on his struggle with brain cancer, giving details from his radiation therapy.
Johnny published a snapshot of himself having the treatment on Instagram on Wednesday, in which he can be seen wearing a white plastic mesh mask around his entire face.
In the caption, he wrote, “Another round of radiation on the cards.” “I’m still fighting this mofo!! #f**kcancer,” says the narrator.
He also supplied a second photo, this time at the entrance to the radiation room where he had treatment.
Fans and friends flooded the singer’s post with messages of support, including well-wishes from his old Home and Away cast members.
“I adore you, honey. Lynne McGranger added, “See you in a few weeks,” followed by Penny McNamee, who wrote, “Lots of love Ruffo.””
“Sending you so much love Johnny,” Emily Symons said, as did Georgie Parker, who added, “Love to you man.”
Many others followed suit in the comments section, expressing their love, support, and encouragement for Johnny.
Tahnee Sims, Johnny’s girlfriend, was not far after, and in response to his post, she posted her own message on her Instagram Stories.
“There are no words to describe his tenacity,” she wrote. “Every day, I am in awe of him.”
Johnny’s latest update comes months after his previous one in September 2021, when he shared a snapshot of himself and Tahnee walking together.
“I’m still doing fantastic and not giving up the battle,” he stated. “I’m still kicking ahead with my chemotherapy treatment, feeling very weary but I’m doing fine otherwise.”
“Thank you very much for your support!!” he added.
