After going too far and puking, Theo uses the time that Ryder is out of commission to make a pass on Chloe…
Meanwhile, Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) is under fire from the cops after they raid her van and uncover the same medications that were used to sedate Tane (Ethan Browne). Felicity is interrogated by Detective Nasser (Julian Maroun) in the station, and when she feels she has no other alternatives, she finds a hate post online that reveals a secret that only she, Cash (Nicholas Cartwright), Jasmine (Sam Frost), and one other person knew about. Will she be able to persuade the cops of the true perpetrator before being imprisoned for attempted murder?
Meanwhile, Logan (Harley Bonner) decides to bring Marilyn (Emily Symons) out of her coma, but she still hasn’t regained sensation in her legs. Marilyn’s fear fades quickly, though, when she begins acting completely out of character. She is unpleasant and dismissive of people around her, and Logan is horrified the next morning to discover that his patient has vanished…

When Marilyn contacts Ryder and Chloe and claims she needs the money right once, Ryder and Chloe are under pressure to pay off their loans. Theo jumps in, eager to aid his crush Chloe, and recommends they shoot prank videos and post them online for quick cash. Ryder is opposed to the plan, while Chloe is enthusiastic. Ryder hesitantly accepts, but soon regrets his decision when he learns that the first task is a chilli-eating contest…
Felicity uncovers the true perpetrators of the chemical attack
In the aftermath of the chemical attack, Felicity has been dealing with the police, who believe she is the perpetrator. They secure a warrant to search her van, and they discover a vial of drugs that were used to sedate Tane, much to her horror. Felicity discovers another ‘toxic Felicity’ social media post after some intense questioning at the station, which refers to a secret that only Jasmine, Cash, and one other person knows about…her best friend, Anne!
After leaving the hospital, Tane is plagued by remorse and panic attacks
Tane has recovered enough to be released from the hospital, but he can’t help but feel a sense of remorse when he realises Marilyn and Martha are still in pain. When he returns home, his family is kind and welcoming, but this does not alleviate his tumultuous emotions. To make matters worse, that evening he receives a tap at the door and opens it to find another red rose on the floor. ‘See you soon,’ says a message attached to the package. Tane’s anxiety is escalating once more…
Marilyn emerges from her coma with an odd new outlook
Logan is perplexed by Marilyn, who is proving to be a medical enigma. Following a conversation with Mackenzie, he decides to attempt to awaken her from her coma. The tingling in her legs hasn’t returned when she wakes up. However, when John goes to see her, Marilyn is unpleasant and urges him to leave. This raises a new concern. Logan asks John in the corridor if he and his ex-wife are still on poor terms. When a perplexed John answers no, she suddenly appears to despise him – and she’s never been so harsh to anyone…
When Nikau’s social media vendetta becomes too much for Bella, she leaves
As his wrath over the chemical attack continues to boil over, Nikau has taken it upon himself to launch a social media campaign against Felicity, energising his army of followers against her. Bella begs him to quit inciting hatred online, even though he is convinced Felicity is the perpetrator. Others in the community are becoming concerned about his conduct, and Jasmine warns Bella in a quiet aside that some of Nikau’s remarks are libellous and might land him in legal trouble. When Bella tries to keep Nikau off his phone, he quickly returns to ranting about Felicity, so she checks out and resolves to spend the night alone…
Dean and Ziggy are dealing with a problem in their relationship
When Mackenzie and Ziggy are catching up, Ziggy says that she’s having trouble with one area of her relationship with Dean: sex. To put it another way, there’s none of it right now because Dean isn’t in terrific physical form due to his continuous rehab. Dean, unbeknownst to her, is frustrated as well and asks Logan for a reference – when will he be able to have sex again? Logan offers him a deadline: he’ll be ready when he can climb the stairs again. Later, Ziggy discovers Dean in great pain as he tries to climb the steps to Salt…
Marilyn turns on her pals and eats meat, which perplexes Logan
Logan is disturbed when he discovers Marilyn is absent from the hospital the next morning. In the meantime, Dean and Ziggy are taken aback when they run into Marilyn, who asks them to breakfast. She marches into Salt and orders a Bloody Mary after they decline. Mackenzie summons Logan, who arrives with Irene and John at Marilyn’s door. Marilyn, enraged, urges them to leave her alone and enters the Diner, where she abandons her years of vegetarianism and orders a meat burger from Irene…
As Ryder vomits after their chilli challenge, Theo kisses Chloe
It’s the day of the chilli eating challenge, and Ryder isn’t sure if he should participate. He seeks Dean’s guidance, and after some coercion, he sets out for Leah’s house to begin. In the meantime, Theo has been chugging milkshakes at the Diner in preparation for the challenge. Ryder is having trouble with the chilli as Chloe starts shooting, and he can’t get beyond the ghost chilli.
As the clock ticks down, Ryder panics and shoves everything into his mouth, only to puke in the restroom. While Theo and Chloe wait outside, Theo seizes the chance to kiss Chloe while Ryder isn’t looking…
