Families and friends in Sydney who are completely vaccinated can now enjoy picnics together.
The joyful lockdown milestone has given a lot of excitement, especially to those who have had to be separated from their little family members.
Ada Nicodemou, for example, is a delighted aunty who has finally reunited with her goddaughter and niece, Sofia, after months apart.
On Instagram, the Home and Away star shared two lovely photos from their trip to the park.
Ada adoringly stared at her newest family member as Sofia perched on her aunt’s hip, both of them sporting big smiles.
The 44-year-old sent a sweet message expressing her delight at the time she had anxiously awaited.
She commented, “Got to spend out with my lovely goddaughter today… she’s extremely cuddly and cute ? ❤️”
Ada revealed her sadness during lockdown in August when she wrote on Instagram how much she and her son Johnas missed their family.
She posted a snapshot of Johnas working on his homeschooling while wearing a soccer shirt with the number Sofia 21 on the back, a tribute to his cousin.
“Missing his little cousin,” Ada captioned the photo.
Sofia was also photographed in a coral onesie, focusing on reading a book.
She remarked on their resemblance, clearly enamoured with her goddaughter.
“She’s like her nouna — enjoys a good read,” she wrote.
Ada and her family celebrated Sofia’s big baptism earlier this year, before the lockdowns resumed.
The historic ceremony took place at a Greek Orthodox Church, and the Home and Away actress lavished attention on her goddaughter, even purchasing a custom-made designer gown for the occasion.
Ada’s brother Costa and his wife Elena have a daughter named Sofia.
