Home and Away star Ethan Browne reveals emotional real-life challenge of working on the show

Ethan Browne, star of Home and Away, has opened out about an emotional and unexpected real-life problem he’s dealing with while filming the serial in Australia.

When Browne, who plays Tane Parata, originally joined the series, he travelled from New Zealand to Australia with the hopes of being able to visit his family and friends on a regular basis.

Unfortunately for Ethan, the coronavirus epidemic and resulting travel restrictions have made it impossible for him to travel – and the actor has now confirmed that he will not be able to return to New Zealand for the holidays.

It’s been “tough” not being able to see his 13-year-old daughter as often as he’d like, the Home and Away star told Kiwi outlet stuff.

“It’s been difficult. As much as I enjoy working here, I would have reconsidered if I had realised I wouldn’t be able to return home “Ethan agreed.

“I only accepted the position because I knew I would be able to return home or bring my kid with me. In that way, it’s been a genuine difficulty.”

Fans of Tane Parata shouldn’t be concerned about Ethan taking a break from Summer Bay since the actor is still enjoying his time on the show.

“It’s been fantastic in terms of the work itself,” he continued. “I think I’ve fit in very well with the gang, and I’m really enjoying it.”

Ethan also teased a future plot with the Parata family, in which Home and Away will honour the characters’ Mori heritage.

“I can’t disclose what,” he hinted, “but there are quite a few narratives that weave the culture back in, which is very fascinating.” “I believe some of stuff has never been seen on Australian television.”
