Home And Away wins entertainment as Seven takes Thursday

On Thursday night, Seven’s Home While Away was the top entertainment show, and the network won the overall network share.

Home and Away drew 544,000 metro viewers, with a late-night broadcast raking in 513,000 metro viewers. Last Thursday, Gogglebox was the most popular show on television.

Next in entertainment was Gogglebox, which had a metro audience of 505,000 viewers, followed by Seven’s The Chase Australia, which had a metro viewership of 494,000 viewers.

Nine’s RBT came in second with 435,000 metro viewers, followed by Nine’s Hot Seat with 426,000 metro viewers.

Seven News had an average of 953,000 metro viewers on Thursday, followed by Seven News at 6:30 with 914,00 metro viewers, Nine News with 878,000, and Nine News at 6:30 with 843,000 metro viewers.

As previously stated, Seven won the night, just edging out Nine with a network share of 27.9% over 27.6% for Nine, while Ten had 19.9% and ABC had 14.8 percent.

On Thursday, Seven was the top-rating primary channel, while 9Gem was the top-rating multi-channel with a 4.6 percent share.

Seven News was the most watched show on linear television on October 21st, with 1.512 million viewers, including 32,000 on BVOD, according to the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report.

With 1.11 million viewers, Home And Away was the most popular show in the entertainment category, with a BVOD audience of 152,000 views, a 21 percent increase.

The show with the greatest increase was Thursday’s edition of Nine’s Love Island, which had a 131 percent increase in overnight ratings, with a total of 541,000 viewers and a BVOD of 248,000 throughout the country.
