On Home and Away, Sunrise weatherman Sam Mac is celebrating saying 45 more words of dialogue than his colleague David Koch.
Sam made an appearance on the drama as himself last night to accept a check for mental health at a fundraiser.
He shared his cameo on Instagram, clearly happy of his job on the show, and in the process, he couldn’t resist but mock Kochie for his 2007 appearance.
He penned, “It’s here. All 47 words I spoke on @homeandaway are included in this deluxe collector’s edition box set. It’s not like it’s a competition, but it’s 45 words longer than Kochie’s appearance in #47Words from 2007 ??♂️.”
A flood of admirers applauded the presenter’s efforts in the comments section of his article.
“I hear they’re searching for a new James Bond ?,” one admirer tweeted, while another said, “Loved seeing you on home and away!!”
A videotape showing Kochie at the Summer Bay surf club sipping a beer and repeating the words “yes, sure” emerged before of Sam’s time on the show.
Sam mocked the Sunrise host’s brief presence in Summer Bay, saying of the 65-year-old, “That is all there is to it. That is all there is to it. There are only two words.”
Producers ordered Kochie to “say watermelon, watermelon, watermelon in the background because you’re not permitted to make a noise when you’re talking,” according to Kochie, who also disclosed some behind-the-scenes details.
Sam seemed to have had a great time on set, as seen by a photo of him standing with icon Ray Meagher while wearing some of his personal gear.
Ray, on the other hand, does not appear to be impressed, which isn’t surprising given the weatherman’s job.

James Stewart, Sam’s co-star for the day, rang in his appearance on Instagram.
“Tune in tonight to witness the Accidental Weatherman himself @sammacinsta debut on Home and Away!!” he captioned a photo from the Summer Bay beach with the weatherman and Ray.
