When the show’s 2022 season finally airs, audiences will be treated to romance, murder, and a prank gone bad, and thankfully, we already have a sneak peek at what’s in store.
In the 2021 finale, we witnessed Ryder being buried alive by Theo, Felicity and Tane taking their relationship to the next level, and Ari proposing to Mia, among other key events.
We also saw Mia, Chloe, and Matthew engage into a furious altercation, with the latter of the three dying as a result.
The new ad focuses on what happens following Matthew’s death, and things aren’t looking good for Mia, who finds up in jail after a high-speed police pursuit.
Mia appears to be in distress in the trailer after driving away with Matthew’s body in the boot of her car, after her daughter Chloe hit him over the head with a brick, effectively killing him.
Mia’s erratic behaviour caught Cash’s attention as she drove out of Summer Bay at high speed with Matthew in the boot. Cash gave chase in his police car.
Despite her attempts to run, the police finally catch up with Mia, and she is arrested after they uncover Matthew’s body in her car.
Mia cried out to Ari at the station, “Protect me,” and he answered, “I’ve got you.”
Chloe, on the other hand, is struggling with the fallout from killing her father, and she’s been observed burning pages from her diary in a tiny fire.
Later, she’s challenged by Bella, who seems to assist Chloe after learning what occurred and advises her to “act normal” if she wants to “pull this off.”
“One foolish mistake is all it takes,” Bella stated to Chloe.
When Chloe is confronted with Cash, who asks, “Is there anything you believe I need to know?” she is put to the ultimate test.
A previous clip indicated Ryder was trapped in a coffin and buried underground as part of a joke with Theo somewhere in the Bay.
Things immediately go awry for the couple when Theo trips and becomes unconscious, trapping Ryder in a dangerous predicament.
Tane and Felicity’s romance also reaches new heights, with the two going on a romantic holiday.
Mackenzie and Logan’s relationship is also heating up, as they appear more in love than ever as they have a lovely moment on the beach.
In early 2022, Channel Seven will reintroduce Home and Away.
