Kate Ritchie, a former fan favourite of Home and Away, experienced life in the fast lane when she took race car driver Kane Coleman for a ride in Sydney.
Coleman accompanied the NOVA radio personality to Sydney Motorsport Park on Wednesday to demonstrate the top speed her 2018 Subaru Impreza was capable of, which turned out to be 160 kph.
Then she embarked on a thrilling ride with Luke O’Neill of the motorsport park, who drove her at 240 kph in a McLaren racing vehicle.
When the car shifts into gear in the video of the swift trip, Ritchie covers her face with her hands and screams, “Oh my GOD!”
“Oh, geez!” She yelled while simultaneously smiling and seeming afraid.
Am I secure? I do not believe that I signed a waiver.
“Someone at Nova is going to be very… IN TROUBLE!” she yells while desperately clinging to her seatbelt.
Ritchie is getting ready to give away her Impreza to a lucky Fitzy & Wippa listener on Friday, which is how the track’s turn came about.
In an effort to impress the former star of Home and Away and enter their names into a drawing to win her automobile, listeners have been ringing the radio station over the past few weeks with their funniest jokes, stories, or talents.
Along with the car, the winner will also receive a tonne of other goodies like a new TV, concert tickets, and cash.
On Ritchie’s Instagram page, an admirer said that she would “sew to win” and posted the message.
“Praying really hard!” The fan penned.
If I win, I’ll make clothes for Kate and Australia.
“Pillows and dog coats for everyone!”
One supporter questioned if Ritchie actually drove an Impreza.
I adore it! BUT let’s face it, Kate, you don’t drive a Subaru Impreza, the fan penned.
Great vehicle overall (I own one).
But clearly, you’re a BMW girl, right?
Ritchie accompanied her former Home and Away coworkers Emily Symons, Lynne McGranger, and Ada Nicodemou for a brief Subaru inspection in another video she posted to Instagram. All three are 2023 Logie contenders.
While Ada tried to rev the engine and Lynne hid in the boot, Emily discovered erratically positioned Logie figurines during the inspection.
“I adore this brief reunion! One viewer commented, “Haha,” underneath the amusing video.
Another person called them “the best girl gang.”
Four Home and Away Legends in one video surprised me, said a third.
Another yelled, “Stone the flamin’ crows!”
