Kyle Shilling, star of Summer Bay, provides a behind-the-scenes look at Mali Hudson’s valiant attempt to shield John and Roo from a deadly explosion.
Kyle Shilling, who played Mali Hudson on Home and Away, has only been in Summer Bay for nine months, but already he finds himself in the middle of a terrifying incident that will send the community into shock.
Marilyn Chambers (Emily Symons) of The Diner receives a final delivery from the shady sales firm she’s been at battle with, Stunning Organics, and it ends up with John Palmer (Shane Withington) and Roo Stewart (Georgie Parker).
Marilyn receives a terrible text as they are heading to the dump telling her there is a bomb inside and it is ready to go off!
She calls out to Mali in a panic, and he doesn’t need to think twice before rushing off to help them.
Kyle retorted, “Mali pursues John down in his van, switching the high beams and hitting the horn behind him.
“JP wonders, “Who is this lunatic? ” Roo then realises that it’s Mali’s van.
“When they stop, Mali exits his car and rushes towards them while yelling, “Get out! “
“And then… POW! He falls to the ground after being tossed back.
He is uncertain as to whether they fled. He now has to locate them and potentially accept the sobering possibility that they may have passed away.

Kyle, a veteran dancer and theatre performer, said it was amazing to film his first stunt.
“It was a lot of fun! They had backup stuntmen prepared in case I didn’t want to perform the stunts, but I told them not to worry since I’ll perform the stunts on my own in the future, he said.
I used to perform physical theatre, where I spent the most of the performance flying around the rig and getting ripped into the roof, so I was aware of what I needed to do to keep myself safe.
“To be there in the weather, dodging open flames while sensing the heat of the fire. It was such a great environment to be in.
Kyle would not confirm the survival of John and Roo, but he did note that Mali would be saddened to lose the notoriously difficult John Palmer now that the two have grown close.
“I adore the bond that Mali and JP share. He is in need. I believe Mali is aware that he needs someone to talk to because he is often by himself, the man said.
“JP let down his guard and allowed Mali to enter his life as a trustworthy friend, and the friendship merely became stronger after that.
“Shane, who plays John, and I get along well off-screen, so it’s fantastic working with him. He’s a great guy and so sincere.
Kyle intimated that Mali is damaged in a way that could have disastrous consequences in addition to the agony of the explosion.
Could Mali’s problems lead to Rose and him getting back together after their painful breakup? They are just made for one another!
“I’d really like to see them reunite. I believe that this situation will either make or ruin their relationship since it will ultimately reveal to them both who they truly are,” concurred Kyle.
Mali is obstinate. He enjoys demonstrating to others his independence and ability to complete tasks on his own. Because I was upset with him, I predict that others will be as well!
“He has a difficult road ahead of him after the bomb explosion.”
What storylines would Kyle like to pursue now that he can check off a love affair and a terrible explosion from his Summer Bay “top moments”?
He reflected, “Mali’s a terrific, switched-on guy, but I’d want to see something fairly severe happen to him, whether it be due to his own activities or the actions of someone else.
“I think I’d just really love to dive into a deep emotional storyline or even, you know, something brutal, that’s a little different from who Mali is,” the author said. I want to look into his deeper side.
