Next week, Bree Cameron of Home and Away contemplates a life beyond Summer Bay.
After deciding she wants a fresh challenge in her life, Bree tells her boyfriend Remi Carter about her plans.
In the Channel 5 programmes airing next week, Bree confides in her friend Xander Delaney about her ongoing sorrow over her abusive husband Jacob’s passing.
Bree affirms that since killing Jacob in self-defense last year, she has worked very hard in treatment. Still, she can’t help but wonder if things had turned out differently and whether Jacob would still be alive.
If Bree really wants to get over what occurred, Xander advises her to continue completing the therapy assignments.
Bree updates Remi on her most recent therapy session later in the week.
Bree’s most recent discussion with the therapist has assisted her in realising that her life is quite regulated and protected. She feels like she’s ready to let go of that now, but she doesn’t know where to begin.
Remi offers to take Bree out on a motorcycle ride to give her some excitement. Bree shares a significant statement regarding her future shortly after, finding the encounter thrilling.
Bree explains that she wants to volunteer for Doctors Without Borders in order to emulate her new coworker Levi Fowler, and she extends an invitation to Remi to join her.
Remi concurs, but he later tells Lyrik bandmate Theo Poulos that he had assumed the commitment would end after a few weeks. Now that he’s aware that it will only last a year, he is reconsidering.
With a sheepish demeanour, Remi clarifies the miscommunication to Bree, who promptly promises not to travel without him.
Remi has different plans and assures Bree that they can continue their connection over the course of the upcoming year. Will Bree leave?
