Mia Anderson goes to extreme methods to acquire the local gym, giving Ari Parata a shock on UK screens next week.
When Jasmine Delaney decides it’s time to sell, Ari (Rob Kipa-Williams) and Mia (Anna Samson) are granted first refusal on the business.
Jasmine (Sam Frost) points out that being small company owners will look well on Ari and Mia’s adoption application.
Both are ecstatic at the prospect, but their attention quickly shifts to how they’ll pay for the deposit.
Mia discreetly pulls out a key and visits a storage facility in next week’s episodes on Channel 5. She enters and searches a box she had concealed, which contains a bag full of cash.
Ari lies to Mia about where she is when she phones her on her phone during the visit.
Mia arrives home later to learn that Ari has sold his motorcycle in order to pay the gym deposit.
Mia surprises Ari by revealing that she has already made an offer to Jasmine, which she has accepted.
Mia admits that she has retained the money Ari obtained in an armed robbery for which he was sentenced to jail. She’d been saving the money for a rainy day, but now she’s decided it’s time to put it to good use by purchasing the gym.
Ari is taken aback by the news, ashamed of his shady background and still haunted by remorse over the years he spent in jail.
Shortly later, a panicked Ari approaches Jasmine and informs her that they will have to cancel their gym membership.
When a perplexed Jasmine brings it up with Mia, she dismisses it as a miscommunication and pledges to talk with Ari.
Mia encourages Ari to accept that he has served his sentence and been punished for his crime, so now is the time to move on and establish a new future together in a make-or-break talk for the gym plan.
Is it, however, such a good idea to go back in time like this?
