Star of Home and Away Rohan Nichol has said farewell on social media, announcing the departure of his character Ben Astoni from Summer Bay.
After getting their marriage back on track, Ben and Maggie (Kestie Morassi) depart for Italy without Ziggy and Coco in this week’s Australian episodes.
After three years on the show, Nichol announced her departure on Instagram and thanked the producers Lucy Addario, the actors, staff, and fans.
And he wrote, “And that will do us.” “Many thanks to everyone on board the wonderful cruise @homeandaway, especially @lucyaddario. Fans, crew, and cast. Thank you.
“You’ve fulfilled a number of my dreams. Moving forward, X.”
Nichol’s statement coincides with Sophie Dillman’s Instagram homage to her on-screen parents, who portray Ziggy, Ben and Maggie’s kid.
“My two all-time favourite impostor parents. She wrote, “I miss and love you.” “I appreciate all that you have done for me—teaching, loving, and putting up with my early mornings.
“Remember me when you become famous once more. I adore Ziggy xxx.”
In an earlier interview, Morassi talked about her departure from Summer Bay and expressed how much she had loved her time there with New Idea magazine.
“I didn’t expect to fall so completely in love with the individuals I worked with, but I did anticipate it to be beautiful and exciting. I’m not sure how much happiness this work has given me,” she remarked.
Earlier this month, co-star Bree Peters also left the show as Gemma Parata, who was returning to New Zealand to disperse her late husband Mikaere’s ashes.
