As he tries to convince Tane that he can be trusted, Kahu is exuding charm and confidence.

Tane wants to be sure, so he spy on Kahu, but when he is discovered, he devises a new strategy to determine Kahu’s reliability.

Tane looks for the company created for which he gave Kahu the loan. But he fails to find anything, which makes him angry.
Kahu appears to have played Tane once more, and he insists that this is the final straw.

Rose finally approaches Mali, still perplexed by what he said, and asks him why he called her exceptional and how wonderful it is to hang out with him.

Mali can’t speak because of a tongue knot, so he just keeps digging. Ouch!
However, after an apology and a stroll through the pines, the two appear to be in agreement.

Meanwhile, Xander is annoyed by Mackenzie’s presence on his back at work. When she believes his work ethic is in doubt, he is hurt.
It’s best, in Felicity’s opinion, if he keeps his head down. After a peaceful day, he expresses a bit of vulnerability, and Mackenzie starts to open up a bit.

Remi suggests holding a battle of the bands to raise money for the Lyrik studio recording.
He cancels the tour because he is so eager to compete that he believes it will allow him to spend more time with Bree. She is angry that he made such a crucial choice without consulting her.
He’s out of luck!
