After Theo returns from seeing his mother, Kirby confides in Justin about her concern: Theo had poured his entire being into the wedding song, and they had been working on it without him. Together, they break the news to him.
Theo understands when Justin says he needs something to concentrate on while Leah is away. However, it appears like Theo may be more upset than he’s letting on when he tells Remi the story later.
Remi tells Theo about Bree’s goals for Doctors Without Borders; he had agreed to accompany her before realising it would be a year-long commitment and had assumed it would be for a few weeks only. Though Remi is devastated, he gently breaks up with his girlfriend and clarifies what went wrong. Although she quickly comes to terms with the situation, she is clearly disappointed and decides to head home alone when their dinner plans are cancelled.
The following day, Remi has an idea and begs Bree to leave him because they can continue their love across distance. Though apprehensive, Bree looks thrilled at the idea of following her goal. Will she leave?
As all of this is going on, Roo is settling in at the Surf Club and is eager to help. However, John chastises her for taking on his duties, and Alf ignores her completely when she offers assistance.
At last, Alf confides in Roo that three committee members had quit only this week. Roo wonders why they might be going, and it appears that Alf has a rodent sense.
Eden is clearly a fish out of water as she tries to make the most of her camping experience elsewhere. In the tent, things get hot between Eden and Cash. As Cash removes a tick from an alarmed Eden’s neck the following morning, he confides in her that his fondest childhood memories are of this location and how much he loved going camping with his foster father Gary. He’s sorry she didn’t find it enjoyable. The narrative clearly touches Eden, but will she be able to sleep in the bush one more night?
