Harper and Dana, new Summer Bay residents, are the focus of a new Home and Away trailer.
The drama has confirmed that the new characters, portrayed by Jessica Redmayne and Ally Harris, will be introduced next week.
However, Harper is more than meets the eye in the teaser trailer, when she arrives and is questioned what brings her to Summer Bay.
“I could definitely use some sunshine and surf,” she says Irene Roberts, though John Palmer admits he doesn’t “trust” Harper.
As it turns out, she is harbouring her runaway sister Dana, and she seeks assistance from Cash Newman.
Jessica has previously acted in Neighbours and 800 Words, while Ally, who studied at France’s elite Fontainebleau Conservatory of Music and Drama, has appeared in real crime series The Claremont Murders and Harrow.
In other Home and Away news, Kyle Shilling, who plays Mali Hudson, recently spoke to Digital Spy about the soap’s major explosion storyline, saying he was “so excited” to take on such a big part.
“Having the opportunity to work on something like this was great,” he remarked. “When I heard it was coming up, I couldn’t wait. It demonstrates what I’m capable of as an actor, and that’s what I was most pleased about – proving that I could do this type of work.
“I found out about this story a long time ago, and I kept checking with people to make sure it was actually happening!” It was great fun.”
