The Australian season finale of Home and Away has given viewers their first peek at what’s in store, and it’s jam-packed with drama.
A major proposal, a flirting road trip, and a possibly hazardous stunt are all on the cards, as well as further health worries for Martha Stewart, according to a new teaser running in Australia, which previews the soap’s last episodes of the year (Belinda Giblin).
Following the recent arrival of Chloe’s biological father, Matthew, Mia (Anna Samson) and Chloe Anderson (Sam Barrett) are poised to take centre stage in the season finale episodes (James Sweeny).
Viewers are aware that Chloe was born after Matthew sexually abused Mia, but Matthew is desperate to gain the approval of his newborn daughter and has been doing everything he can to get to know her.
As Matthew makes it apparent that he won’t be leaving Summer Bay now that he’s discovered Chloe, Mia’s partner Ari Parata (Rob Kipa-Williams) begs Mia to tell Chloe the truth about Matthew, but it’s unclear whether Mia will be successful.
Ari and Mia will face even more turmoil as Ari makes an emotional profession of love and proposes to her – but will a surprised Mia say yes?
Felicity Newman (Jacqui Purvis) is still recovering from her ordeal at the hands of stalker Anne, and she informs Tane Parata (Ethan Browne) that she will be leaving the Bay. The two embark on a road trip after he offers to accompany her.
After Tane impresses Felicity with his wood-chopping talents, the two are seen kissing over a fire, indicating that their escape would reignite the fires of romance.
Martha’s health continues to deteriorate following the latest gas poisoning assault, according to another plot. As Martha rests in her hospital bed, Roo Stewart (Georgie Parker) gives her an astonishing gift: she’s been determined to be a match for a transplant. Is it possible that Martha’s health is set to improve?
Finally, when Ryder Jackson (Lukas Radovich) and Theo Poulos (Matt Evans)’ video stunt rivalry threatens to go too far, disaster lurks on the horizon.
Ryder is shown going into a coffin and being buried alive as Theo promises that the two are about to embark on their “biggest epic challenge yet.” However, the stunt appears to have gone horribly wrong, as Ryder is left yelling for help while Theo lies unconscious nearby after an apparent accident. Will someone track down the couple in the woods before it’s too late?
In brighter news, Dean Thompson (Patrick O’Connor) and Ziggy Astoni (Sophie Dillman) are seen on the beach, with Dean declaring “I’m back,” and Logan Bennett (Harley Bonner) proclaiming “I want to be with you,” presumably to Mackenzie Booth (Emily Weir).
The season finale of Home and Away will premiere in Australia later this month, with a triple bill on November 25, and these scenes will show in the UK in early 2022.
