Bree struggles to have faith in Remi.
Bree tries to have some alone time with her boyfriend out of jealousy about Remi’s connection to Mercedes. However, Mercedes enters and entices Remi away to concentrate on their strategy for Lyrik, interrupting their lovely breakfast.
Bree finds it difficult to believe Remi doesn’t have feelings for Mercedes, especially after her offers to bring lunch to the studio are turned down.
Bree decides, after consulting with Xander, that she wants to abstain from the recording sessions in order to demonstrate her trust in Remi. Mercedes is delighted by Bree’s decision.
Lyrik is pursuing their ambition.
As the members of Lyrik assemble for their final planning meetings prior to their first recording session, tensions are at an all-time high.
Theo’s suggestions are rejected by a disgruntled Kirby, Eden and Mercedes continue to argue, and Justin’s advice to get the band a better contract is ignored.
However, when Lyrik enter the studio and begin to actualise their dream of creating an album, the atmosphere completely changes. The group then raises a glass to their triumph and acknowledges that Mercedes was essential to making it happen.

As they record a stunning rendition of “Hold onto This Moment” with Mercedes’ string section, Lyrik are on a roll.
Remi and Mercedes stick behind at the studio to finish mixing when the band jumps into Theo’s car after a long night’s work.
When they are both finally by themselves, Mercedes decides it’s time to make a move and gives Remi a sensual kiss.

The following morning, a flood of texts from a terrified Remi break apart Eden and Cash’s romance.
Remi claims in the texts that Mercedes kissed him but that he didn’t return the favour. Remi is afraid to tell his lover the truth after realising he should have listened to Bree all along.
Remi loses his cool when confronted by Bree over breakfast, which only makes things worse. How long till the truth is revealed?
- Andrew’s sister gets to the Bay.
When Justin finds out that Tegan, Andrew’s sister, is visiting Summer Bay, he becomes anxious. Tegan discusses photographic evidence of her early years with Andrew as Justin takes her out for coffee to make sure she isn’t another impostor.
Tegan reassures Justin that she is the genuine deal, but he is shocked to find that she wants her brother to move in with her.
The news shocks Justin and Leah, who wonder if a significant change is best for Andrew at this time.
- Andrew and Tegan reunite
Following their reunion, Andrew and Tegan start to make up for the years they spent apart. Tegan agrees with Andrew that they were robbed of a nice upbringing and recounts her own experience of being abandoned as a young girl.
Justin and Leah are concerned that Tegan is moving too quickly and not considering the practical implications as she reiterates her wish to begin a new life with Andrew.
Tegan, however, who is steadfast, chooses to give Andrew more time by remaining in the Bay.
- Stunning Organics stalks Marilyn
Marilyn is now taking the new CEO of Stunning Organics’ phone calls and emails.
The multinational cosmetics company invites Marilyn as a special guest to a press conference and pays her a stunning $25,000 for the opportunity. It claims to have altered its ways.
Marilyn is furious and says she won’t accept the money since she wouldn’t betray Roo and the other customers of the dishonest business. Alf, though, comes up with a brilliant idea just as she’s about to tell Stunning Organics where to shove it.
- Marilyn enjoys getting even.
Marilyn shows up for the press conference in accordance with Alf’s plan and gets set to take the CEO’s place at the podium.
A short while later, Alf charges the stage and terrible images of Roo in a coma are shown to the audience before Marilyn admits she was paid to attend the event. As Kirby captures the CEO’s callous retort, she claims she doesn’t care about Roo.
A few days later, Alf and Marilyn are hailed as local heroes in an internet piece that also exposes the despicable behaviour of Stunning Organics. Marilyn’s nightmare is finally over with the company’s reputation in ruins.
- John and Irene raise a commotion
As they go out to eat and she helps John choose a new suit, Irene and John get closer.
Marilyn and Xander, who informs Mackenzie that he thinks John and Irene might be a secret item, are both aware of their growing friendship. Mac then makes an unsuccessful attempt to get John to spill the beans.
Irene and John are shocked to learn that everyone believes they are at it as the rumour mill is in overdrive. While Irene, who is always up to mischief, believes there is still enough of fun to be had, John wants to clear the air.
- Tane has trouble coping
Thanks to her counselling sessions, Felicity is feeling a little calmer, but it’s obvious Tane is still having a hard time dealing with his wife’s attack.
Tane, who has rejected Felicity’s attempts to communicate, goes to the boxing ring late at night to let out his anger and dejection.
The next morning, Cash finds Tane in the gym and keeps the punching bag steady so that Tane can let some of his rage out. After that, Tane and Felicity go for a stroll on the beach where Tane confides in her and says they must work through this together.
- Mali’s economy is in disarray
Mali has been given strong instructions by the doctor to keep out of the water following his near-death incident in the waves. Teaching falls under this category as well, which means no pay.
Rose and Mackenzie offer to pay the rent for the month, but obstinate Mali declines their pity. Rose is furious that her lover won’t take assistance, and Mali won’t budge despite Rose’s repeated requests for assistance.
Mali, who is struggling to make ends meet, gets the bright idea to have Mac and Xander fill in as temporary surf instructors. But will they accept the proposal?
