Kahu rejects Mac
Tane is searching the Bay for Kahu while his cousin is spending the afternoon having sex with Mackenzie. Following their interaction, Mac requests Kahu not to speak about it and insists it was an isolated incident.
As word gets out, Felicity and Mali are eager to find out all the juicy facts, but they wind up getting Mac’s ire.
Later, flirtatious Mac offers to Kahu that they get back together, but he rejects her and reveals that he has been told not to tamper with her because she is in a delicate situation.
Mac is on the warpath
Unaware that Tane had advised Kahu to stay away from her, Mac accuses Mali in public of meddling in her personal affairs. The housemates’ harmony is quickly restored when she recognizes her blunder and apologizes.
When Mac confronts Tane and Felicity, they confess that they only persuaded Kahu to back off out of concern for her own safety.
Felicity advises Mac to take a break from work so she may properly process Gabe’s passing.
Kahu has a business proposal for Cash
Later that week, pretending to thank Tane and Felicity for their hospitality by throwing a BBQ, Kahu reveals his true intentions before long.
When Cash is cornered, Kahu admits that he is aware of his fortune and asks if he would think about investing the funds in his trawler.
Unfortunately, Kahu’s brash plea is not well received by the policeman. When Tane learns, he scolds Kahu for making them both look bad.
Rose makes a move on Mali
Rose’s shyness around Mali amuses Xander, who counsels her to be open and honest about her emotions. Rose is convinced that she can’t because she worries Mali would reject her.
Rose gains the confidence to contact Mali for a surf lesson after receiving some support from Bree. Rose tries to kiss Mali after they enjoy themselves on the lake, but she pulls away.
After being humiliated by her ex’s rejection, Rose goes to Salt to drown her sorrows and needs Bree to drive her home. The following morning, Rose realizes she needs to let go of Mali after waking up groggy.
Marilyn and Kirby come under threat
Even though Kirby believes the legal threats have the unethical firm scared, Marilyn is terrified due to them.
Marilyn is compelled to reveal to Kirby the stockpile of goods she had been keeping at Irene’s and confesses she is deeply in debt to the multinational beauty company as the threats continue.
The ladies are later taken aback when Stunning Organics serves them with legal documents. But Kirby isn’t going down without a fight, so he has an idea to enlist support for their cause.
Alf discovers Marilyn’s deception
Marilyn is worried as a result of the legal threats, despite Kirby’s belief that they have the unscrupulous firm on edge.
In response to the threats, Marilyn is forced to confess to Kirby about the inventory of items she had been keeping at Irene’s and says she owes the global cosmetics company a significant amount of money.
Later, when Stunning Organics delivers the women with legal papers, they are shocked. But Kirby won’t give up easily, so he comes up with a plan to rally support for their cause.
Justin loses patience with Andrew
Bree makes the decision to set up an appointment for Andrew with the social worker because he is still having trouble adjusting to his new life in the Bay.
Andrew makes strides while spending time on the beach with Theo and Justin when he takes a splash in the sea. But when the young man needs to see the social worker, he panics and won’t leave the house.
Leah worries that they won’t be able to handle caring for him after Justin screams at Andrew out of frustration.
Justin receives worrying news
When Cash reports that a neighbor has come forward, the case of Andrew makes progress. The woman maintains she has never met Andrew but admits there was once an older man residing at the house.
Archie Lawrence is identified as the occupant by Cash, who learns that he passed away three weeks ago.
The task of telling Andrew that his only link to the outside world has vanished is then left to Justin.
Andrew’s dark past is revealed
Leah comes to Roo for assistance as she is desperate to help Andrew more. They can’t locate Andrew’s school records since they don’t know his last name. Leah accepts Roo’s offer to assist him with his reading and writing with gratitude.
In another instance, when Justin and Cash present Andrew with the Archie Lawrence portrait, he admits that Archie is his father.
When Cash and Justin learn that Andrew was kidnapped by his father when he was four years old and that no one has seen or heard from him since, the story takes a new turn.
Lyrik have a cashflow crisis
Remi and Eden are busy plotting ways to raise the $12,000 they need for Lyrik to record a studio album.
Tensions rise when Eden suggests Remi ask his wealthy parents for the money and he refuses to go there, insisting she knows why.
Inspired by Kahu’s shameless pitch, Cash offers the band a lifeline by investing part of his inheritance in the band’s album. But while Remi is all for it, Eden insists she won’t accept her boyfriend’s charit
